Arason Essex Black Murphy Cabinet Bed
The Arason Essex Black Cabinet Bed comes with a drawer that is 50 inches wide by 5-1/2 inches deep. Its beautiful design features criss-cross moldings, in the style of a Tudor window. The Essex cabinet bed is available in three popular finishes: white, black, and ash. The bed uses three hinged legs and runners covered in felt in order to support the fold-down front panel when open.
You can use the bed without removing items from the top of the cabinet. You can flip the top open to give the sleeper more head room, and special hardware keeps the top upright. To use, simply move items towards the back, lift the flip top, then open the bolts. The latches and safety chain are in the interior, hidden from view, for a clean exterior. Unlike a sleeper sofa, the cabinet bed has a 40 percent smaller footprint than a traditional bed.
